Inner strength, self conviction and an absolute belief in her dreams has lead 31 year old Natalie Begg to be noted as one of Australia's unique fashion designers.

Six years ago, after an extended period of travel and self discovery throughout America, Uk, Europe and Asia, the largely self-taught designer set up studio in one of Australia's most culturally rich suburbs of Melbourne - Brunswick . Hungry to gain more knowledge about her passion and industry, Natalie threw herself into formal training and private tutorials. As a result, Natalie's enthusiasm and excitement for the fashion industry grew, as did her confidence in her own ability to succeed in creating her dream. Whilst studying, she decided to put theory into practice and launched her first collection of sleepwear. Inspired by the colours, patterns, textures, flavours, space and sense of freedom she experienced a broad, 'Elope' was born.

In recent years Natalie has presented her work at the renowned Melbourne Fashion Week, with both private showings and fashion parades. Industry and public awareness of her label has subsequently grown and 'Natalie Begg' is now stocked in over fifty specialist stores throughout Australia . With national sales and demand rapidly increasing; she now employs numerous staff to satisfy customer needs. Characteristically, Natalie remains unwavering in her commitment to a vision of creating well constructed garments made from her own hand painted silks, imbedded with sensuality yet practical in design.

Natalie's artistic garment designs stress purity of form above content. Often labeled 'Classic Bond Girl Glamour', her style evokes an appreciation for the fluidity of nature and strength of femininity. With life spent immersed in the beauty of the Australian landscape, Natalie continues to gain inspiration from local influences, from her beach and surf coast origins to the modern urban jungle. Natalie draws upon art, architecture and all things beautiful in her ongoing journey of design.
